So what made Nesmith stand apart from his three fellow cast/bandmates? How did he manage not to allow the two years he spent on a TV show about a fake rock band define the 48 years that followed? How did he become the one Monkee it was acceptable to dig? Musician. Actor. Businessman. Producer. Novelist. Philanthropist. Inventor of MTV. Composer. Old Dude. How did he find the time? I was put off by the book cover initially, thinking the normal thing for an autobiography would be an author’s selfie. This is really a love story for anyone who imagines being whisked away from the mundane into places that you’ve only read or heard about in glossy magazines. It’s a film for any person out there who’d like to have the freedom to do what they want and damn the consequences. Well, either that or have enough money to do anything, then disappear. The Thomas Crown Affair is a world where time means nothing, and money is just, well, not an issue. Its only numbers! This is my kind of motion picture. I feel it was made just for me. Fifty Shades Of Grey (E L James)

Just checked my compass and I think I’m about  52% through this climb so you would think by now it would have sucked me in. People say they can’t put it down but I find myself reading 1 chapter and then sucking out a breath of boredom. This is what annoys me about this book:
